Hello,

You have fibroids. Mirena was removed after that you had heavy bleeding. You were prescribed Norethindrone for two months. Norethindrone is used to treat menstrual disorders, fibroid, endometriosis, or abnormal vaginal bleeding caused by a hormone imbalance. A progestin-releasing IUD provides symptomatic relief only and doesn't shrink fibroids or make them disappear.

You are suggested to get clinically examined by a Gynae, get USG (uterus) done to detect fibroid, endometriosis, etc. If fibroid is detected, it will be treated with medications like Tranexamic acid (Lysteda), gonadotropin-releasing hormone agonist, etc.

Non invasive MRI-guided focused ultrasound surgery (FUS) or the treating gynecologist may recommend radiofrequency ablation, endometrial ablation, etc. Abdominal myomectomy or Hysterectomy(if required). Get treated at the earliest.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
