Hello,

You are advised to get clinically examined by a GP or a urologist. Get required blood tests, urine tests, urine output measurements done, imaging tests (CT, kidney, ultrasound) biopsy, and biopsy of the Kidney tissue done so that the pathology can be diagnosed, and treatment started at the earliest.

Since you are diabetic, control your blood glucose level at all costs. Avoid taking food products with added salt, choose low potassium food, limit phosphorus, etc. You will be treated with medicines that help to control blood potassium, restore blood calcium levels, you will be treated to balance fluids in your blood. If required, you will be suggested dialysis to remove toxins from your blood. get treated at the earliest.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
