How To Crate Eating Habits In Children?

I have a 7 year old son who generally doesn t do anything by himself. How should I make him independent? Some of the basic activity like eating, brushing teeth and wearing own cloths he has to depend on others. I am specially worried about his eating habits. He doesn t like to eat anything. He only eats if I or some other person feeds him. This is getting too much as he doesn t eat his lunch at school as well. I would really appreciate for any practical suggestions. Thank you, Tina

Hi, Thanks for asking. I would like to give following tips to you. But before that i would like to know, does he have any motor co ordination problem? If not then you may try this.
Make a visual schedule for his self activities like brushing eating etc. besides that write the rewards he will get for doing that thing on his own. This will motivate him to do his work by him self. If he has some motor difficulty i would suggest you see an occupational therapist.
I hope i have helped you.
