How To Cure Painful Lump Inside Tongue?

Hi, I have a painful lump inside my tongue. I do get mouth ulcers, and havne't been eating well for the last couple of weeks. I am stressed. This time, though, there is no ulcer, just a small lump. Any clues? Should I visit my GP or just wait?. Thanks
