How To Cure Red Rash On Corner Of Lips With Slight Cut?

small red rash on lip
I have a small red rash on the corner of my lips with slight cut that is healing. I have had it for over a week. I do get cold sores but this is not one. I think it might be caused by saliva. just looking for what I can use to help cure it?

As per your complain it seems that you are suffering from Angular Chelitis and it leads to inflammation, rashes and cracks at the corners of the lips..
It can be caused due to bacterial infection, fungal infection, deficiency of iron and vitamin B12 etc..
I would suggest you to consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..
You can be advised to apply a combination of antibiotic and antifungal ointment along with steroid ointment over the corners of lips.
You should do cool compresses over the corners of lips..
Keep the area dry and clean and do not let saliva to accumulate in that area..
Apply emollients over the area to lubricate the area and prevent irritation..
