How To Deal With Painful Belly Button?
I just find out my daughter belly button is big, sticks out hard and when I touch it she said she feel pain and hurt, she's 3 1/2 years old, please tell me what I need to do, start to get a little worry. Her belly button stick out since she was young but always soft and able to push inside not now. Thanks, Amy

Hello. Thank you for your question. Youbare describing an Umbilical Hernia. This is common in babies. Most resolve in their own by age 3 years and should not be painful. The ones that persist beyond this time, or are painful, or both, as in thia case should be evaluated by your doctor. I recommend you consult with your doctor so the appropriate treatment plan can be implemented.
