How To Get Rid The Pain After A Fracture Of The Elbow?

I have a hairline fracture of the elbow, after a fall June 18th. 1st xray showed a sprained elbow. Cat Scan showed the other. It is very painful. Thought they d do a cast, but instead said, they don t do that anymore. I m to keep it in a sling, have pain med. See them Thrusday. Wondering. The sling doesn t fit at all.

Hello,

Hairline fracture of the elbow may get displaced if not protected in slab or cast. I would like to see X-ray.

We recommend protection in above elbow cast for one month at least. Reason for pain is due to improper immobilization and rest. I would recommend a visit to another orthopedic surgeon for an expert opinion.

Meanwhile tab Diclofenac twice a day should be taken for pain relief.
