How To Overcome My Diarrhea?

Yes. I am type 2 and usually well controlled but now I unable to keep solid food down and the diarrhea is pretty severe. Loperamide OTC has helped. I do not normally drink fluids with sugar. Should I and what about medications? I take metformin 1000mg b.i.d. and Victoza Thank You...I am 69 yrs old
