How To Relieve Prolonged Cough And Cold After Pneumonia?

hi doctor my son is 1 year and 7 months. weighing 11kgs. last month he had cough and cold which was diagnosed as pnemonia. after getting treated for that he is continuing having cough and cold very frequently (he gets well for one week again catches cold after a week) its been 3 months like this. please help.

Hi...usually cough is quite common for 2-3 weeks after pneumonia settles. So do not worry about cough. What is more important is fast breathing an inability to breathe which are dangerous signs. Cough is a protective reflex...do not worry. Catching cold in this varying season in quite common.
