How To Treat A Painful Spot At The Back Of The Left Calf ?

I have a painful spot on the back of my left calf that is hard and is very sore but no bruise or swelling it hurts to touch could this be a blood clot? I also have Leiden five clotting gene and worry about blood clots. I m 26 over all healthy and don t smoke and not over weight

Hello,

A single painful spot in the calf without any swelling is not likely to be due to a blood clot. This can be due to a muscle sprain or spasm. You can do a hot compress in the area and take a mild pain killer and see if it helps.
