How To Treat Bronchitis In A 3 Years Old Child?

My 3yr old son went to the ER last night and i was told he has a slight case of bronchitis. He received a breathing treatment while at the ER and was given an antibotic to take for 5 days. Once a day 1/2tsp. The first day 1 1/2 tsp. Anyways he developed a rash on his left cheek and its bright red. At first i thought he just slept on that side but it has not gone away and seems to be on the other side now too. Why?

Hi
Welcome to Healthcare-Magic
Greetings of the day

Dear Ms

Rash in children could be due to following reasons
1. Rash associated with febrile illness
2. Antibiotic induced rash. Certain antibiotics like Ampicillin may cause rash when taken during respiratory illness

If the child is settling down, the fever has decreased and is accepting feeds well then there is no cause for concern.

Take Care

Best Regards
Dr Deepak
