How To Treat Bruise/lump On Upper Inner Thigh?

I recently had an injury on my leg, My upper inner thigh was struck by a solid object, after the injury the entire upper inner thigh is bruising, plus there is a large lump where the object struck. This lump is soft but there is a harder edge defined under the skin that is tender. I am worried I did big damage to my leg. Will this bump go away?

Hi,

This is a soft tissue injury but we cannot assess the damage by reading the details posted by you. If you are comfortable in walking then probably no major muscle tear. This lump and hard edges look like a collection of blood in the thigh and will take time to resolve.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Gopal Goel, Orthopaedic Surgeon
