How To Treat Diarrhea?

Two nights ago I was up late, feeling sick, and I started to throw up. Early next morning i woke up and still felt nauseous, but I wasn't throwing up; although, I had diarhea. This was different diarhea, i was crapping just water. I don't feel nauseous anymore, but I'm still crapping water and now i'm bloated.

Hi. Sorry to hear you're not feeling well. Sounds like your may have a viral infection. My first recommendation in drinking plenty of water. It may not be advisable to take immodium or lomotil as this can decrease bowel function and prolong the infection. If you have recently been on antibiotics or been in the hospital, an infection called C difficile could be responsible. This usually produces profuse/foul smelling diarrhea.
Try a BRAT diet (bananas, rice, apple sauce tea) If symptoms do not improve in 1-2 days or if you have fever I would suggest seeing your healthcare provider who can perform bloodwork and possibly stool samples to obtain a diagnosis. Hope this helps. Good luck.
