How To Treat Fibroid That Are Heavy And Cause Painful Bleeding?

I am to have a laparoscopic hysterectomy next Monday via the Davinci mode. I was asked st my appointment today about having my cerix removed at the same time. I am keeping both ovaries. I have fibroids and heavy, painful bleeding. I not know wht to do! Online people mention vaginal prolapse down the road. Any thoughts? I had precancerous cells frozen off back in 1991.

Hello ma'am and welcome.

Yes, vaginal prolapse can occur, but not aleays. Jusy because you are having your cervix removed doesn't mean that you will suffer a vaginal prolapse.

But as you have had a history of precancerous lesions in the region it would be better to take the cervix out as well.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes.
