Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
my infant (20 months) has a slight temperature (37.3) and a bad rash on her bottom (almost acne like) and rash of small red spots on her upper arms and calves) with small red, hard spots. A nurse yesterday said she may have hand, foot & mouth but she has not spots on her hands and feet… she suggested paracetamol and lots of water. The thing is I am due to visit friends with 1 year old twins this weekend and I don t want to give them anything...
Yes for Pyrexia, give him Paracetamol Syrup. Give him lots of water, apply metronidazole skin cream and or consult a general physician, if Rashes increase over. May it can be chicken-pox.
