How To Treat Typhoid In A 6 Years Old Child?
my 6 year old daughter has high fever since past 10 days the fever comes back after every 8hrs although the time gap has now risen to 12hrs but there is no shivering or headache. the widal test was positive .the doctor says it is typhoid. please guide

child with typhoid running fever for 10 days should be given injectable antibiotics
for eg.ceftriaxoe plus ofoxacin in appropriate dosage.he sholud be given iv fluid with glucose as appetite might be reduced and for rehydraration .paracetamol round the clock to control fever and some supportive medicines like vitamin supplements and rabeprazole can be added.he should take rest and very soft and bland diet ,juice is advisable for two weeks.hospitalization will be good for adequate care.
