How To Treat Watery Diarrhea With White Mucus?

my one year old has watery diarrhea and white mucus in his stool. He has had only two bouts of it. The first one was SEVERE. It leaked through the diaper forcefully. He was gassy and cramping most of the evening. Should I take him to the ED? Family doc in the a.m?

Hi dear, I understand your concern . I recommend you start antibiotic therapy:
-Syrup Taxim (Cefixime) 4mg/kg/dose twice a day for 5 days.
-Enterogermina1 sachet oncr a day for 5 days
-Keep your baby hydrated with plenty of water, ORS.
