Hurt My Buttock And Noticed Blood From Vagina. Pelvic Surgery Done. Should I Be Worried?

I fell down the stairs yesterday and hit my right buttock on the corner of the wall - and pulled my left front thigh muscle . Was sore last night and took some pain meds. Today most of the pains were in lower right buttock. Just noticed some blood from vagina. What I'm worried about that I had pelvic surgery 3 months ago - bladder sling and transvaginal mesh were put in. I'm still sore but not in lots of pain. I thought I should call my urogynecologist tomorrow. Or is it something I should worry about?

Hi,
In view of the recent surgery, you should definitely take caution and consult your doctor. If you are menstruating, this could be an early period due to the trauma. Bleeding from the point of the mesh should also be considered. Please take rest and observe the bleeding until you can see your doctor and do it at the earliest possible. Avoid any form of stress including intercourse, maintain genital hygiene and continue medication if needed. Hope you find this information useful. Wish you good health.
