Infant Having Earache, Cold, Prescribed Zifi. Is It Safe?

Hello Doctor, My 21 mths old kid has got ear ache. Since 2-3 days he is suffering from cold. My Doctor precrided Zifi 100 ml (4 ml morning & 4 ml Evening for 3 days). I am a bit hesitant to start the anyibiotics. Can you pls give me your opinion. Thanks

From what you are saying it looks like viral upper respiratory infection. Best would be to give her regular paracetamol or ibuprofen. I would give antibiotics only if the is high fever with bulging of the ear drum. So you could give her paracetamol or ibuprofen for now.
