Hello
Thanks for the query
You have not mentioned which vaccine has caused this problem. Most probably your child has been immunised for DTP, Hib and Hep B. There are two different preparation one is Easy Five pentavalent vaccine covering DTP, Hib and Hep B and another one is Pentaxim covering IPV( polio), DTP , Hib. Out of these two pentaxim contains acellular component of pertussis so it causes less reaction like fever, pain and also complications are less. It is 3 times costly than Easy five. Even if you have taken Easy five previously you can switch over to Pentaxim. Efficacy wise there is no difference between these two.
I hope this answers your query.
Wish you and your family good health.
With regards

Hi,

Thanks for writing to health care magic.

I think you are taking about DTP vaccination.

DTwP causes more pain when compared to DTaP.

But the cost of the former is much higher. DTwP is even available free of cost through national immunisation.

So one can give DTaP after consulting your pediatrician and discussing with him.

Hope this helps.
Take care.
