Infant Suddenly Started Vomiting Followed By Slimy And Whitish Stools. Taken Cymbi And Andestron. What Else Should Be Done?

My kid is 8 months old and all of a sudden she started vomitting....looked liek undigested milk......then started having stools , a bit slimy and almost whitish in colour....she has vomitted 4 times in teh past 12 hours and has passed stool about 5 times.... We administered Cymbi (fennel oil drops) and Andestron drops. Please advise wht do we do......should w euse Zenflox ( Ofloxacin and ornidazole )

It seems like Gastroenteritis. Most common cause of gastroenteritis is viral.

My advise would be:
1. Give ORS - Oral rehydration solution along with lots of other liquids
2. Continue feeding his normal fluids/feed. Is he still breast feed?
3. Give Andestron drops (assuming that it contains antivomiting medicine - Ondansetron)
4. Monitor number of wet nappies with wee/day

There is no need to use Zenflox at the moment.

Recovery is usually associated with control of vomiting first and later diarrhoea settles (may be 3-7 days time for diarrhoea)
