Infant With Diarrhea. Prescribed Antibiotics For Suspected Ear Infection But Diarrhea Resumed. Consult Doctor?

My 10 month old started with diarrhea five days ago took him to docs said he has a ear infection they priscribed him antibotics his diarrhea was fine before starting his meds but diarrhea is back again and its a pail yellow color he's eating n drinking formula fine hasn't ran a fever my question is should I take him to hospital ?

Hi,

if he is eating and drinking fine you don't need to send him to hospital.

Just add to his diet oral rehydration solution in between meals.
You can give up to 100-150 ml for each episode of diarrhea.

All the child needs is to replace the salt that is lost with diarrhea, you can do it perfectly orally.
