Infant With Fever, Vomiting, Diarrhea And Difficulty In Breathing. Treatment?
hello, i have a baby girl 13 months . one week a go she started having running nose and sneezing for two days. after started coughing for 2-3 days , sometimes dificult breathing , and womitting just a little during the meal, once per day or twice. after one day she was kind of better, she got during the night diarrhea and fever 37-38C. after two days she is better but she still has a fever 37-38C.
Thanks for providing me opportunity to answer your question.
Based on the symptoms you've mentioned, it seems she has had an infection (most likely Virus) leading to respiratory tract infection, fever and vomiting.
My advise would be:
1. To ensure she is able to talk enough fluids to prevent dehydration
2. Keep record of temperature
3. If there is fever, you can try anti-fever medicines like paracetamol

Diarrhoea may take couple of days to recover Temp of 37C is normal. Only when it is 38C - it is considered fever. Infants/toddlers having this sort of infection, usually start recovering from D5-7 of illess. Regards Dr Tejas Shah Pediatrician
