Infant With Frequent Passing Of Stool. Given Flagyl, Ecotec And Enflor However No Relief. Is This Normal?

My son is 6 and a half months old now.from the past 20 days he is passing several stools in a day.i gave him flagyl suspension, ecotec sachets enflor sachets..but in vain..nowadays i have started syrup q plex
..but he is still passing many stools.is it normal?? He is not drinking milk easily..starts crying all of a sudden..the stool is watery sometimes but sometimes its ok ..

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Enteritis us most likely viral but could be bacterial as well.
As you have already given a course of antibiotic I do not recommend giving another one.
Maintain hydration.Give oral rehydration solution after each loose stool,give lemonade,buttermilk,mashed banana,boiled potato.
Continue with probiotic sachet and add zinc for 14days after consulting your doctor.
