Intense Pain Over The Area Of Bump With Bruising Around The Surface. What Can Be Done?

I have a large bump about the size of a dollar coin, I have had it for about 6 or so months, it has become larger, and this morning there was bruising (dark purple bruises) all around the surface, and on the left side of where the bump is...I can t get in to see my dr until Friday, and It s in a lot of pain, I m wondering what I should do in the mean time? Thanks
