Is Augmentin875amox/125c.acid Effective For Sinus Infection?

I have a bacterial sinus infection and my ears are plugged. Is it normal for my tounge to feel weird too. I had the infection for 2 months before I got antibiotics(augmentin875amox/125c.acid). The infection is pretty bad, constant post nasal drip down my throat. How long before I see the results of the Anttibiotc kicking in. Will this be strong enough to kill the infection?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern..

As per your complain in case if you are diagnosed to be having bacterial throat infection, post nasal drip and plugged ears are both due to it and as there is post nasal drip it leads to blocked Eustachian tubes that open at one end at the back of nose and at the other end in the middle ear..
Post nasal drip can cause mucous accumulation in the tubes and can give blocked feeling..
Augmentin is a potent antibiotic combination and you can continue taking it for atleast 15 days so that you can start seeing desired results..You also need to take anti allergics like Advil, decongestnat like Phenylephrine, mucolytics like Ambroxol, do saline nasal irrigation, steam inhalation and decongestant nasal sprays containing Xylometazoline..
You can also use a humidifier in your room..
Avoid chilled foods and air conditioned atmosphere..
Hopefully you will start improving in a week..
