Is Being In 80 Degree Temperature Dangerous To Child With Ehlers Danlos?

I have a kg student with Ehlers Danlos. He loves to participate in recess, does well, but mom has requested no recess because it it 80 degrees outside. The 15 minutes he enjoys socializing with other kids, he drinks water throughout and tolerates the activity weel. When mom requested, he is upset and crying. how does the 80 degree temperature outside negatively effect him.

Patients of Ehlers Danlos syndrome have poor temperature control (run hot or cold easily) due to autonomic dysfunctions. This makes them vulnerable to significant changes in baseline body temperature that is the reason why they are advised to avoid temperature changes.
Further these patients have inherited connective tissue problem which results in hyperflexible joints and easy dislocations therefore they are advised to limit physical activities which can cause strain on joints.
Doctors must have advised parents of patient regarding precaution to be taken hence they have informed you accordingly.
