I have what appears to be a bit of blotchy skin on my inner labia. There was also pain during urination, and a lot of irritation a little less than a month ago. I called my OBGYN worried it may be an STD but she just prescribed me medication for a yeast infection without me ever going in for a check up. I finished the medication, and no longer have a burning sensation during urination, or any redness or feelings of irritation. However, upon examining myself with a hand held mirror this morning I have noticed a bit of blotchy skin on my inner labia. The blotchy skin is almost a pinkish orange in color and stops looking blotchy and looks a healthy reddish pink near the vaginal opening. Is this maybe just the texture of the skin on my labia that I may not have noticed in the past or could it be some kind of rash? Again there is no pain or burning, but often times a warm sensation.
I can understand your concern for the skin rash on labial skin.
After reading your query I can make out that your gynecology doctor has prescribed you correct treatment as per her clinical acumen. As you can notice that the burning and all the related symptoms subsided after taking the medications for yeast infection so the anti-fungal medications were the right choice for you.
Regarding your warm sensation and reddish pink vaginal opening- it is the normal hue and color of the vaginal skin and you should not be worried about it. Do not try to touch the vaginal area too often as it can lead to further infection.
All the best.
