Is Bulge Above Ribs After Abdominal Hysterectomy Due To Hernia?

I am 1 week post op today. Abdominal hysterectomy, right ovary removed. I ve noticed a bulge of skin collected on my right side just above my ribs. Could this be a hernia developing? Will it go away in its own? Thank you for your time & attention~Catherine

Hi,
This does not seem to be due to post operative hernia as this is an unusual site to occur. Other soft tissue abnormalities need to be ruled out.

Get a MRI or ultrasound scan done.
Thank you.
