Is Chest Pain Caused Due To Gastric Or Cardiac Issues?

I am 34 years old and a mother of two. I have constant pain in my left hand and often get pain in above my breast or in the chest. Sometimes I feel pain in my back and some uneasiness in my face. I got ECG done and my physician says it is normal. This happens very often and the pain subsides in few minutes and happens again. Generally, I get a burp or release gas oftern when I experience the pain. Please let me know, if this is any gastric related or any other tests that I will have to get done to confirm any cardiac related problems.

Hi,

Pain in left hand, in the chest, back and uneasiness in the face can be due to many a reason as follows:
Cervical spondylitis.
GERD with gastritis.
Cardiac-related.

Hence you need to confirm or rule out the reasons. I would advise you the following in such a case:
You have already consulted a Cardiologist and ECG is normal; may need further evaluation like Eco-cardiography and stress test.

X-ray of the cervical spine in AP and Lateral view supported by MRI if required.

Upper GI Endoscopy for GERD that is Gastro-esophageal Reflux Disease.

Once the diagnosis is confirmed the treatment will be guided and useful.

Take care.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
