Is Chicken Pox Contagious If There Is No Fluid In Spots?

Hi, my nephew (he lives with me) 3 will be 4 in July has chicken pox first spots came out Sunday the 3rd June there is no fluid in the chicken pox no more, but its been over 10 yrs since my own children got them so want to make sure. He is due to go back to school on Monday but want to make sure hes not contagious. Thanks Sharon

Hello. Thank you for your question. Chicken pox is contagious if there is contact with active lesions. Once the lesions are crusted over, they are no longer contagious.
