Is Diarrhea That Lasts For More Than 25 Days Due To Any Serious Health Issues?

My father (age = 55) has diarrhea since 25 days. He intermittently goes to washroom and has watery stool. Colonoscopy came out to be normal and CT abdomen says signs of colitis. We couldn t find the root cause of the problem. No pain in abdomen and no blood in stool. Stool test and urine tests are also normal.
