Is Flagyl Effective In Curing Diarrhea?

I ve had diarrhea since October 2013. Off and on I get sick, have lost a lot of weight, had a stool lab test done with negative results. I ve been taking Lialda, prescribed by my GI doctor, and in addition am now taking diatomaceous earth (silica) to treat pin worms. Questions: what kind of parasites can be detected in a blood exam? Can Flagyl eradicate all parasites? I understand that one stool test may not be conclusive from previous experience. Thank you for your help. Neiri

I really appreciate your concern, passing of stool three to four time in day may be normal one, the diet would be matter of concern, without associated symptoms like abdomen pain, vomiting, fever fatigue, it is nothing to worry and such symptoms may not need any treatment, just for safe side if culture sensitivity is not being done then it is advisable to get this done with colonoscopy, hope this information helps.
