Is Fluttering In Head Indication Of Recurred Auras Caused By History Of Having Seizures?

I had two seizures in one night 25 years ago. They were preceded by several months of auras - out of body experience as the seizures case closer. Recently I have have felt "fluttering" in my head. It is hard to describe. I think they may be early auras?

Hi,

I understand your concern and would explain that auras are closely related to seizures. Anyway, the time distance from your first seizures is too long and the chances of repeated seizures after such a long time are really low. Anxiety can lead to your troubles. But to be sure that it is just anxiety, I would recommend performing some tests:

- an EEG
- a brain MRI
- complete blood count for anemia.

You should discuss with your doctor on the above issues.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Kind regards,
Dr. Aida
