Is It A Matter Of Concern If Having Pressure, Pain In Lower Abdomen After Having Several UTIs?

I have had several UTI in the past few months . my doctor sent me for renal ultrasound .which showed [ large residual and MSU reported no pathogens.] ? . I have an appointment with specialist in 5 weeks. I am now having a pain in lower abdominal which is a dull ache and heavy feeling . should I be concerned , or should I go back to see my GP prior to seeing Urologist

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Hello and welcome to HCM,
Presence of residual urine suggests some kind of obstruction to the flow of urine.
The obstruction has led to collection of large residual urine in the bladder.
What is your age and sex?
Enlarged prostate if common cause of residual urine in the bladder.
The prostate gland enlarges in males after 45 years of age.
The collection of residual urine can result in urinary tract infection (UTI).
You need to get pelvic ultrasound and PSA levels to know the status of prostate.
Levels of PSA below 4 pg/dl is associated with benign enlargement of the prostate.
Dull ache in lower abdomen and heaviness can be due to urinary tract infection.
You need to take up urine culture test to isolate any micro-organism in the urine.
In case any micro-organism is present, appropriate antibiotic can be given to treat the infection.

Thanks and take care
