Is It Harmful To Use Angelig If Uterus In Removed?

I have recently had a hormone profile done and my hormones tested very low. I had a hysterectomy 8 years ago. My uterus and one and a have of my ovaries were removed. My doctor prescribed Angeliq, I have used it for 2 weeks and recently read that it is not recommended when the uterus has been removed. Must I use something else?

Infectious Diseases Specialist 's  Response
Hysello dear,

Thank you for your contact to health care magic.

I read and understand your concern.

I am Dr Arun Tank answering your concern.

Yes this drug is the congener of estradiaol female hormone responsible for the ovulation.

If you do not have female hormones aneliq can help you.

But this drug is contraindicated in hysterectomy patients, bleeding disorders and heart disease.

So if you have any of the above problem than you should not take this drug and should take the other drugs.

I will be happy to answer your further concern on bit.ly/DrArun.

Thank you,
Dr Arun Tank
