Is It Normal For Baby To Have Constipation For A Week?

My one and half month baby boy is not doing potty for last 1 week. He is on breastfeed completely. We used glycerine suppository but it didnt work. Now doctor had asked us to give Livoluk kid drops. Want to know is it normal for infants of this age? and what is the best medicine for this.

Thanks for the query.
Most babies with occasional bowel movements are not truly "constipated" and nothing needs to be done.
Rarely, infant constipation is caused by an underlying condition, such as Hirschsprung's disease, hypothyroidism or cystic fibrosis.
Try giving little sugar to milk after consulting with your doctor.
Hope i helped you.
