Is It Normal To Have Painful Lump At The Injection Site In Leg?

My daughter who is four yrs old was given preschool vaccination of DT, MMR and chicken pox five days back, two of the injections were given in the arms and one in the front of thigh, intially she was complaining of very much pain and was limping very much , the pain is now less and she is some what still favouring her leg, today I noticed that she has a lump at the injection site which is painful on touch is it normal?

Thanks for the query.

Yes it very normal to have lump, fever, limping leg after DT vaccination.

It will go on its on, you can try giving paracetamol+ibuprofen combination for few days.

Ice pack can be applied to local area.
