Is It Ok To Go For Surgery For The Bulging Hernia Down The Private Area With Bad Emphyzema ?

we are in the emergency room at Lakewood Ranch in Bradenton Fl. My mom has a few hernias but the one down by her private area (below her belly button) is bulging out. The doctor tried to push it back in----tremendous pain---he couldn't do it. He had her drink sulfate and they are taking her in for an exam to see if her hernia is connected to the intestines. She has really bad emphyzema and I don't know if she could make it through surgery. Can they do it without putting her under

Hi,
From history it seems that she might be having hernia.
Now they want to try to push hernia back manually.
They will see that whether it is reducible or not.
If hernia is irreducible and part of intestine is come out it becomes strangulated hernia and requires surgery.
They may go for surgery under spinal anesthesia after consulting physician as pre operative assessment.
Ok and take care.
