She got it checked and all the doctor said was that it was herpes. So is it possible to contract "herpes" without intercourse? Please help!

thank you for query.Herpes simplex virus (HSV1 and 2) can spread by oral or kiss or by skin to skin contact or sexual route. The chances are more when there are active lesions.even they can transmit when lesions are inactive. You can expect any water filled lesions with pain or itching or burning sensation if you have been infected with herpes. You can get back for any clarifications.Dr Bharatesh D Basti Dermatologist.
