Is It Possible To Develop Fibroids Of 7.8 Cm Within A Year?
I did an ultrasound scan last year and the result showed NO FIBROID, no cyst, normal right and left ovaries etc. Everything was normal. BUT today 12 months after, i did an ultrasound scan and it showed a bulky size uterus with an AP diameter of 7.8cm, left ovary has a mass with AP diameter of 30mm. No free collection sighted, No cyst. No cyesis or retained products sighted. Pls what does this mean? Is it possible to develop fibroids of 7.8cm within 12months ?

I have gone through your USG report,you had posted.
It seems the uterus has turned bulky with a size of 7. 8 cm. There is no mention of fibroid in the readings you have given. Fibroid is a tumor of uterine wall that arises from muscles of uterus.It can be clearly distinguished in USG .
The cyst of 30 mm in your left ovary can be a graphian follicle,matured & ready for ovulation.
Now,about your query- Though fibroids are usally slow to grow,but the growth rate are different for individual women & individual fibroids. So- Yes,a fibroid may grow fast in 1st year,& remain without growth for following years!
So,I feel you need to have a gynecologist's consultation for confirming diagnosis of fibroid.Yours seems to be a uniform enlargement of uterus, which may stand harmless & needs treatment in case of relevant findings/complaints.
