as per doctor advise it needs to be remove that similar to cauliflower in his anus. is it okay for a 12y/o to undergo such an operation. Is it true that once it will be remove a person has to go immediately to comfort room once he feels to discharge his bowel. thnx

Hello dear,welcome to HealthcareMagic forum.
Chronic anal fissures need to be removed for pain relief, and avoidance of any complications.
Regarding safety of surgery,it is not much different from that of an adult patient. This is usually a minor procedure without significant complications.A possible complication,as worried by you is injury to anal sphinctors, affecting fecal continence. But this is not common.
Your doctor will discus these things in detail with you.
Also note that,a diet rich in fibers is good for anal fissure.
Hope you will find this answer useful.Thank you.
