Is It Safe To Conceive With Fibroid In The Ovary?

Hi, Last year i found out that I had a demroid cyst on my right ovary and a intramural cyst. I went to a specialist who told me i would be able to concieve but my body will keep aborting the babies because of where the fibroid is located. He told me to have an hysterectomy but i opted not to. I began seeing another doctor whom i love. He explained to me that it is possible for me to carry children. He removed the cyst in August 2011 but decided not to bother with fibroid he told me my chances of getting pregnant is greater with the fibroids than without them. Do you think i made to right decision?

Hello dear,I understand your concern. In my opinion you made a right decision by not opting hysterectomy.Fibroids are only treated when they cause any symptoms. If the fibroid is big and causing hindrance to pregnancy then alone fibroid can be removed a procedure called myomectomy. After the procedure the pregnancy can be tried.Otherwise a small fibroid with no symptoms can be left with no treatment.
