Hi,I am Dr. Santosh Kondekar (Pediatrician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My daughter who is 2 years old is prescibed ibugesic when she gets high fever (above 101), which is normally the temperatures she gets. I have now observed that when she has a fever of around 99.1 and I give her only crocin the temperature does not fall. Infact it slowly rises sometimes to 100 even after 3-4 hours after giving crocin. Whereas with ibugesic her fever goes down fast and does not come back for 6-8 hours. Is it that crocin is having no effect on her? I do not want to give her ibugesic everytime. Kindly help.
Some children do respond favourably to Ibuprofen as compared to Paracetamol. Occasionally giving Ibuprofen wont harm the baby. you can safely give Ibuprofen for fever.
Take Care
