Is It Safe To Take Fefol And Neurobion For A Prolonged Time?

I got a blood test done over a year ago, which indicated that I was anemic. I started taking Fefol capsules, along with Shelcal-500 and Neurobion tablets regularly since then for a period of 6-7 months, after which I resumed this dosage in July this year. I have not done a blood test recently to check if I am anemic...I am taking these supplements as I do not have access to nutritious food due to staying in a hostel. Is it alright for me to continue to take these tablets?

Hello,
You can take these supplements but must get your blood test done to look for anemia. In case your hemoglobin levels are all right, you can stop taking FEFOL which is a iron preparation.
In case ypu are continuing to take FEFOL,then precaution must be taken so that ypu don't consume FEFOL and SHELKAL at the same time because iron and calcium unite to form insoluble complex.
It is best to take iron and calcium at different times of day.
Thnks
