Is It Safe To Take Nucynta 75 And Effexor 75 Together?

Hi my name is Bridgette, and I have been taking Nucynta 75 mg tablets 3 times a day for about 2 months and I also take a 100 mg tablet 2 times a day every twelve hours for about a month now, I just recently got put on Effexor 75 mg tablets a week ago, I was told that they could go against each other in some kind of way, I really need both of these meds should I continue with treatment.

Nucyntia contains tapentadol, an opioid agonist indicated for the management of moderate to severe chronic pain in adults and neuropathic pain when a continuous, round-the-clock opioid analgesic is needed for an extended period of time.Venlafaxine is an antidepressant in a group of drugs called selective serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors (SSNRIs). Venlafaxine is used to treat major depressive disorder, anxiety, and panic disorder.Since Nucyntia also is a norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors so their effects may be added and dose has to be adjusted accordingly!Hope this helps!
