Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I am 4 months and 20 days pregnant, since last 7-8 days I am noticing few dimpling under my nipples , more on the left breast, and got it checked twice with my midwife , she says it s just swelling, but when I lift my arms they become more prominent, and she have prescribed me with pyricontin tab, are they safe and am I fine?
Pyricontin, which is a form of vitamin B6, is very safe to use in pregnancy. It is usually used for nausea and vomiting, so I don't think it will help with breast dimpling, but it would not be harmful. If the dimpling persists, you may want to get an ultrasound done to see if the cause can be found.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Aaron Branch, General & Family Physician
