Is It Serious To Have Ecoli And Bacterial Vaginosis After Having Endometrial Ablation?

Had an Endometrial ablation, am now diagnosed with Ecoli and baterial vaginosis. Told by nurse. Dr. in surgery and not available. Nurse called in a "prescription for an oral anti-biotic and a vaginal gel" she doesn't say what kind and has already left the office. How worried should I be before I can talk with the doctor hopefully tomorrow. Ecoi???

Hi,
Thanks for the query.

Vaginal infections are common, especially in sexually active women and in women with diabetes.
I am not sure if the ablation was done recently to correlate it with the procedure.

I suggest that you should not worry at all as these are minor problems. If you have a prescription for an antibiotic and a vaginal gel, you can go ahead and take it and see your doctor at the earliest to further discuss these issues and source of infection.

Hope this was helpful. Thanks for using HCM.
