Is Low Grade Fever With Loose Motion Common During Teething In Babies?

Hi ,
I hv a 8 month old daughter and she is suffering from dysentry from the last night and also she is having a temp of 101F in the ne and then the temp gradually lowered to 100F.
Is this a common thing( due to the new tooth) in the babies or is it a special case.

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hello. Thank you for your question. Though based mostly on anecdotal evidence, it is common to see low grade fever and loose bowel movements while teething. The baby's comfort level is the most important thing. Make sure she remains well hydrated. Apply a barrier cream to the diaper area to prevent rashes. If the fever lasts more than 2-3 days. I recommend consulting with your doctor.
