Is Prolapsed Bladder Surgery Impossible After A Patch Treatment For Hernia?
i have two hernias and a prolapsed bladder from two children. the hernias are close to my belly button and the doctor will put a patch over the area. he said I will not be able to have prolapsed bladder surgery afterwards because they will need to go through my belly button to repair my bladder. is that true?
Hello Thanks for your query, based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have ventral hernia and prolapse of the bladder (Cystocele) .
You are planning to get ventral hernia repaired by putting a mesh and worried about the feasibility of second surgery to repair prolapse of the bladder.
Do not worry second surgery can be performed with horizontal incision down near your pubic symphisis and will not need to take a vertical incision near the previous one .
Thanks Dr.Patil.
